Michael practices in all areas of Accounting, Tax and Advisory & Wealth Management.
Michael’s career in accounting started in 1994 when he began as a 21-year-old Assistant Accountant. Over the next few years, he learnt the art of accounting and tax and progressed through the ranks at small to medium sized accounting practices in Perth.
By 1997 he began working as a Registered Tax Agent out of his home/office and quickly expanded his business into office premises by 2002. Since then, his firm has continued to grow. Currently he has 6 employees.
Michael has been a tax specialist for over 20 years. Throughout his career, he has been dedicated to the needs of small to medium sized businesses, particularly in relation to taxation, structural advice and business planning.
Michael has completed a Bachelor of Business from Edith Cowan University and has been awarded a Fellowship with the Institute of Public Accountants.
As a Director of the firm’s subsidiary financial planning and mortgage broking company “Wiz Planning & Finance Pty Ltd”, he holds an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (ADFP) and is an authorised representative of the SMSF Advisers Network Pty Ltd (ABN 64 155 907 681), Australian Financial Licensee (AFSL No. 430062). He also holds a Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management and is an Australian credit representative (516032) under Australian Credit License 384704. In addition, Michael leads the Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) division at Carbone Partners where he is RG146 compliant.
Michael has enjoyed watching his clients and their business grow and evolve over the years. Many clients have become great friends and consider Michael like family in their business.
Sport plays a significant role in Michael’s life. Outside of work he enjoys playing squash, golf and going on long bike rides. Michael is passionate about soccer and is currently a part of the senior coaching team in Perth Soccer Club.
Peter has been with Carbone Partners since 2007and holds a Bachelor of Business and Diploma in Accounting. He has over 20 years’ experience in both private practice and commercial accounting. Peter has a wealth of experience dealing with small to medium-sized enterprises, superannuation funds and high net worth individuals.
He always strives for excellence and is highly-motivated and results-focused. He has a good eye for detail, is efficient in all types of work presented and analyses all situations thoroughly. He has the ability to produce different scenarios for discussion with clients and therefore achieves great results which are reflected in a content client.
His clients cover a range of industries including food, manufacturing, construction and engineering. Peter has become an integral part of the team as he is Michael’s right hand man and could almost say a partner in the firm.
To remain focused Peter enjoys keeping fit and participating in outdoor adventures with his family.
Jasmena joined our accounting practice back in 2008 after being a client of ours for a number of years. She holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Information Systems.
Jasmena is a valued member of our team as she is always happy to help any one of our team members if they have a problem or if they just need help. This helpful nature has enabled her to provide an exceptional level of assistance and expertise to all of our clients.
Jasmena has a wide range of experience in different software packages including MYOB, Xero, Cashflow Manager, and Excel to name a few. She has extensive experience in applying accounting principles and procedures to analyse financial information which in turn enables her to specialise in the preparation of monthly and quarterly Business Activity Statements, Financial Statements (general ledger clients), and Income Tax Returns for all entities, including Self-Managed Superannuation Funds(SMSF) and small/medium enterprises (SMEs).
Some of Jasmena’s interests include travelling, architecture, landscaping and exploring different cities.
Anna has been with our Accounting Firm since 2004 as the initial employed employee. She first started out as our Receptionist and has been an integral part of our growth.
Previous to this she had worked in the banking industry, stock exchange and various government departments. Whilst being employed with Carbone Partners she has gained extensive hands-on experience in BAS preparation and tax accounting and to substantiate this has obtained her Certificate IV in Accounting.
In her current position she assists the principal accountant in preparing all financial and tax documents for our small and medium sized clients. Her day to day duties also sees her interacting with our clients which she enjoys.
In her downtime, Anna’s enjoys reading thriller and crime novels as well as cooking and motorbike riding when the weather permits.
Yuliya holds Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking and Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management.
She can help you achieve your desired outcomes in Home loans, Commercial Loans, Asset Finance and Personal loans.
She has the knowledge and skills required to tailor a solution that suits your needs, deliver and monitor customer service exceeding your expectations.
In her spare time she enjoys playing the guitar, golf, and networking.
Ylenia has been an employee of our firm since 2010.
She holds a High School Diploma from Italy in Accounting and she has a Bachelor Degree in Physical Education.
She has extensive experience in running an office environment and has the responsibility of ensuring that the organisation’s office duties are completed and coordinated efficiently.
She is positive and communicative and her role consist of, but is not limited to, reception, customer service, taking care of correspondence, reports and other documents, as well as planning meetings, updating databases and managing information flow to staff and clients. She also assists the accountants to ensure everything runs smoothly for the best interest of our clients.
Our firm has been able to utilise Ylenia’ s Italian translation skills to assist our Italian speaking clients with their business matters.
Out of the office she enjoys keeping fit, beach activities, travelling and reading.
Shane has 15 years’ experience in the insurance industry covering roles from claims to senior management and broking. Working with many clients from various occupations and industry groups, Shane has developed a great understanding of the risks different businesses face. More importantly however, he is able to work with clients to implement strategies to mitigate the exposures and protect your business.
Shane started on the path of an Authorised Representative in 2013 and continues to enjoy working with new and existing clients. He has attained a Fellow membership level and is also a CIP (Certified Insurance Professional) with ANZIIF (Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance).
